Job Description - RN Shift Coordinator I/P Psych (Child and Adolescent) Unit (2300038D)Child Psychiatric UnitThe inpatient Child Psychiatric Unit is a 12-bed unit designed to provide crisis intervention and stabilization to children 3-13 years of age. The average length of stay is three to seven days. Each patient receives an initial psychiatric evaluation upon admission, with additional psychological and medical evaluations as needed.Adolescent Psychiatric UnitThe Adolescent Psychiatric Unit (APU) is a 14-bed short-term treatment unit that provides extensive bio-psychosocial treatment services to adolescents aged 14-17. The program offers a safe and therapeutic environment to facilitate stabilization, evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care. Milieu Management is utilized to effect a positive change in the patient’s behavior by providing a supportive and nurturing environment.All nursing practice is based on legal scope, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. The Shift Coordinator directs and participates in the patient care delivery team activities, collaborates with unit leadership, and ensures continuity of care.QualificationsMinimum EducationBachelor's Degree (Required)

Minimum Work Experience2 years Nursing experience (Required)1 year Recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting (Required)

Required Skills/KnowledgeThe Shift Coordinator will successfully complete the hospital and nursing orientation at CNMC.
