Our Digital Strategist will be tasked with analyzing user experience data, initiating digital projects across platforms, reporting on planned and current strategies, and leading digital marketing efforts. They will plan and conduct user research, develop engagement strategies, and deliver insight through written deliverables and reports. They will play a critical role in larger web design projects by participating in client discoveries and delivering strategies for ensuring audience engagement in conjunction with our user experience designers and content strategists. They will also work on stand-alone digital marketing efforts for clients and for the agency itself. Specifically, they will be managing digital marketing for a Career Development app and platform we are developing for the state of Delaware, which is a grant-driven program that provides funding to support a portion of this role.We need a sharp, creative professional who is committed to supporting mission-driven nonprofits, universities, foundations, and organizations seeking to deliver a social or environmental impact.We need a strong and proactive communicator, thinker, and strategist whose attention to detail is impeccable but who can also balance the perspectives of peers, audiences, and clients. We are seeking someone who understands how to scale our strategy services for both small and large projects, as well as maintaining quality regardless of a client’s budget or constraints. Our ideal candidate will have direct experience at a digital agency or serving as a digital strategist, digital marketing, or similar role within a nonprofit organization.Overall Duties & ResponsibilitiesIdeal candidates for this position should be web, social, and multimedia savvy. Ultimately, an outstanding Digital Strategist should have a firm grasp of digital touch points, steer our clients’ digital narrative, and drive highly effective campaigns.Digital Strategy Development: Lead the development of cost-effective digital marketing strategies aligned with client goals and objectives, incorporating insights from market research, competitive analysis, and industry trends.Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to social media, email, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.Digital Advertising: Create, launch, and manage digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, the Meta ad network, and other digital channels relevant to nonprofit clients. Experience with managing ad budgets and making recommendations for campaign budgets is a plus.Discovery and User Research: Participate in client discoveries and write discovery briefs. Conduct audits of clients’ digital strategies and recommend improvements. Design protocols for and conduct market and user research. Create deliverables based on the discovery and research phases, including campaign strategies, user personas, digital engagement plans, email marketing strategies, and social media strategies.Copywriting and Content Strategy: Develop compelling and relevant content tailored to target audiences and optimized for various digital platforms.Data Analysis and Optimization: Utilize analytics tools, such as Social platforms, SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager, to track key performance metrics, analyze campaign effectiveness, identify areas for optimization and improvement, measure impact, and help clients make data-informed decisions.Audience Targeting and Segmentation: Utilize data-driven insights to identify and target specific audience segments, maximizing the impact and relevance of digital marketing efforts.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including content strategists, visual designers, UX designers, and project managers, to align digital marketing initiatives with client organizational goals and objectives. During the sales cycle, help strategize directions for potential projects and participate in business development activity, such as vendor interviews and assistance with proposal writing.Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing, and proactively recommend innovative strategies to enhance our agency and our client’s digital presence.Required Skills For The PositionA bachelor’s degree in advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
