Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)B.S. degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Radiochemistry or related field. Demonstrated track record in producing short half-life radioisotopes (11C, 18F, 68Ga, etc.) labeled PET radiotracers routinely for use in clinical or preclinical studies. One year's experience with quality assurance.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing and producing PET radiotracers for clinical uses in a cGMP compliant environment, operating automated synthesis module for 11C- and/or 18F- labeled PET radiotracers production. Ample knowledge about Federal regulations related to radiopharmaceutical productions (USP823, 825, 797, etc.) and extensive experience in quality control and/or quality assurance process in radiopharmaceutical production site.

Brief Description of Duties:The Radiopharmaceutical Production Chemist will play a lead role in the production of PET radiotracers for human use, and the development of standard operating procedures for tracer production and maintenance of the Radiochemistry Laboratory.

Developing clinical batch production method for producing PET tracers for human use. Routinely producing 11C- and 18F-labeled tracers for human use. Packaging of radiopharmaceuticals for transport. Participate in the process of radiometabolite analysis.

Participate in the process of quality control and release of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Play quality assurance role for radiopharmaceutical production laboratory.

Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tracer production. Assist with the preparation of research papers and abstracts/manuscripts for submission to peer review journals and regular societies' meetings.

Participate in maintenance of cGMP clean room and production facilities.

Help to order laboratory supplies and manage inventory.

Other duties as assigned.
