Position : Director of Giving and Events

Position Overview:

The Director of Giving and Events will be responsible for leading the school's fundraising efforts and organizing key events that align with the mission and values of CCS. This role involves developing and executing strategies to secure financial support, cultivating relationships with donors, and managing events that enhance community engagement and support the school’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising :

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including annual giving campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and special initiatives.

Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Collaborate with the administration to identify fundraising opportunities and create compelling proposals for potential donors.

Maintain accurate records of donor information and contributions, ensuring timely acknowledgments and reporting.

Event Planning and Management:

Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of school events, including Alpine Holiday and Galleon.

Work closely with volunteers, staff, and vendors to ensure the success of events, managing logistics, budgets, and timelines.

Reporting and Analysis:

Track and analyze the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and events, providing regular reports to school leadership and recommending improvements.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in fundraising and donor relations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business).

Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and event planning, preferably within a school or nonprofit environment.

Strong understanding of Catholic values and a commitment to promoting the mission of CCS.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.

Highly organized, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed for events.
