GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:The Director of Banking Operations is responsible for overseeing the College’s various banking devices and solutions. This includes managing devices provided by our financial institution, monitoring the College’s armored courier service, and other banking solutions. This position is also responsible for managing the College’s payment card processing terminals and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) in coordination with the Office of Information Technology (OIT).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Banking Services

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the College’s policies, standards, training, and procedures for its banking devices and materials.

Maintain reporting and inventory logs of banking devices.

Serve as subject matter expert for the banking devices and solutions.

Serve as the point of contact for any campus issues related to the use of banking devices and assist in the procurement of banking materials. This includes maintaining a relationship with the financial institution’s relationship manager, and escalating issues that arise.

Manage the College’s use of an armored courier service.

PCI Compliance

Oversee and manage the College’s PCI-DSS compliance program, ensuring that all processes, systems, and product offerings adhere to the latest audit requirements.

Coordinate with various individuals and departments including the College counsel and OIT to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to compliance.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the College’s PCI program and trainings.

Develop and implement PCI-DSS policies, standards, procedures, and security enhancement projects to address new or changing compliance requirements.

Ensure periodic security scanning and penetration testing are conducted by OIT, risks assessed, and remediation activities are completed within expected timelines.

Educate and build awareness of PCI-DSS compliance requirements across the organization.

Manage the procurement of credit card terminals and other payment gateways.

Maintain reporting of trainings and inventory log of credit card processors, terminals, and handlers.

Manage the College’s relationship with its third-party credit card processor including the establishment of any merchant accounts, updates to merchant’s accounts and approve payment processing devices and payment gateways in partnership with the Executive Director of Information/Network Security.

Complete and submit the Attestation of Compliance and Self-Assessment Questionnaire annually in partnership with the Executive Director of Information/Network Security.

Cash Management

Serve as the backup for the Cash Management team.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated clearing house / electronic fund transfer forms and business processes.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

SALARY RANGE:$65,000 - $70,000 Annualized

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

Two or more years of experience in PCI compliance and treasury management or banking is required.

Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) is preferred.

Experience with Workday Finance is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

Must be able to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Have a strong foundation in customer service with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
