Administer the full-cycle recruitment and employment program for full- and part-time faculty and staff positions. Coordinate related professional development training activities, wellness activities, and employee recognition programs. Responsible for developing a campus-wide approach to enhancing excellence through diversity and inclusion of students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. The Director will help to create an organizational culture that sets clear expectations, provides appropriate support, and engenders respect and dignity at all levels of the organization, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Belonging at Systems Office.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for development and implementation of a Talent Acquisition Strategy to achieve the most appropriate sourcing, evaluation, and selection of highly qualified and diverse talent.

Coordinate the college’s employment/recruitment program to include, but is not limited to:

Manage the college’s on-line applicant tracking system; job postings and advertisements for local/national and professional publications. Approve advertising expenses for payment.

Coordinate and assemble volunteers for Job Fairs, both internal and off-site.

Advise hiring supervisors, search committees, and administrators regarding hiring procedures and Workday system.

Coordinate review of credentials; coordinate interviews, conduct reference and background checks and calculate hire-in salaries to be reviewed and approved by the Executive Director of Human Resources and other required cabinet members.

Meet with final administrative and faculty applicants to review the college’s benefits when the Assistant Director of HR is not available.

Verify expenses and prepare applicant’s interview expense travel reimbursements for Chancellor’s approval, when needed.

Request approval from the Chancellor for reimbursement of faculty and director-level or above staff new hire moving expenses, when applicable.

Verify demographic data entered into Workday HR by HR Office Coordinator.

As a member of the HR team, participate in interviews.

Ensures compliance with federal codes, regulations, and ASOM requirements.

Builds and maintains recruiting policies, procedures, and training processes to enhance recruiting effectiveness.

EMPLOYEE DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND BELONGING

Assess campus employee needs relating to DEB & Engagement, coordinating with the Executive Director, Diversity, Equity & Belonging.

Will serve on the campus Diversity Committee, with a focus on faculty and staff.

Work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Belonging and Retention on Diversity Initiatives including professional development and educational programs for faculty and staff.

Monitor and manage search and interview committee selections ensuring participants have completed the Mitigating Bias Training (MBT). Assign MBT for new employees, and where else is needed.

In partnership with the Executive Director of Human Resources and Executive Director, Diversity, Equity, & Belonging, create a strategy and communication plan for recruiting diverse applicants for current and future open positions.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIESWork with Executive Director of Human Resources and budget staff to develop and monitor a budget for faculty and staff recruitment and engagement.

REPORTINGResponsible for accurate employee data in the Human Resource Information System.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMSSeek and establish a positive campus culture through an engaged faculty and staff. Guide the Campus Engagement Committee to assess, establish, and implement programming and opportunities that engage faculty and staff.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENTPlan, coordinate, facilitate and/or present professional development training to include scheduling of rooms and instructional technology. Scheduling presenter, event publicity and reservations. Ensure informational materials and hand-outs are available and also facilitating the following events:

Other training as determined appropriate.

OTHERParticipate in campus and state committees, as requested. Represents the campus in Statewide HR meetings as requested. Annually, review and update job descriptions and project list, in addition to reviewing/updating job descriptions prior to posting to ensure accuracy. Participates in major campus events such as, but not limited to, the annual commencement ceremony.

Builds partnerships with community groups; may represent the college at community events and through community organizations.

Compensation: $60,000

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field, required. Three to five years of directly related work experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration required. Proven work experience in Talent Acquisition and demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives. Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Previous higher education recruitment experience preferred. Experience in leading a recruitment department responsible for hiring at a large organization. At least three to five years of progressively responsible talent acquisition experience.

Official Academic Transcripts required at time of hire sent directly from issuing institution to the Office of Human Resources.
