$48,000 - $57,000SUMMARYUnder the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator supports the Professional Exchanges Programs which are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State in Europe, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and other locations. These programs provide young professionals with experience in the United States on legislative, economic, innovation, and business-related themes through individualized fellowships and professional relevant activities, such as site visits, training programs, and study tours. Fellows engage in professional development activities in U.S. government offices, state legislatures, city councils, universities, businesses, incubators, and NGOs across the U.S. The program also supports U.S. citizens traveling overseas for short-term projects. Specifically, the Program Coordinator oversees administrative, logistical, financial, and event support to these programs. Responsibilities necessitate that some work be performed during non-business hours such as weekends and/or evenings, and domestic travel may be required. The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager. This is a Washington, D.C.-based position with a hybrid schedule of office and work-from-home days (minimum two in-office days).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate timely implementation of the programs by serving as a point person for arranging a variety of event logistics for arrival orientations, site visits, trainings, study tours, closing programs, and others as needed.Prepare program communications for distribution via email, social media, website, promotional materials, and others.Support the Program Manager in the preparation of placement materials including Fellow profiles, fellowship notifications, housing notifications, host orientations, etc.Arrange travel logistics (insurance, visas, plane tickets, on-the-ground transportation, hotel/accommodations, etc.) for participants traveling internationally - both overseas and U.S. participants.Process financial requests and file expenditures and receipts.Assist in communicating with the vendors and service providers (hotels, restaurants, transportation companies).Qualifications

Demonstrated organizational ability and attention to detail is a must -- including examples of managing multiple priorities quickly and effectively to make strict deadlines.Experience coordinating international travel for groups.Experience with word processing programs, Excel, updating databases, updating websites, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).Excellent communication skills and experience working with a varied clientele.Experience working as a volunteer or with volunteers desired.Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.Ability to work occasional nights and weekends during programming events.Familiarity with cultures and geography of the target countries.High level proficiency in using Excel and experience managing databases.Experience with Image Editing Applications and Software such as Photoshop, Adobe, Canva are a plus.BENEFITS
