The Vice President (VP) of Strategic Partnerships and Development is responsible for ensuring that the organization is well-positioned in a rapidly evolving and competitive environment by being an agent for ongoing growth and sustainability. The role develops strategy and corresponding project plans to operationalize corporate, government, and other key partnerships and ensures advisory support to the President/CEO in these domains.

As a key member of the OIC-SFL executive leadership team, this role is accountable for internal- and external-facing leadership activities. Externally, the role builds, cultivates, and maintains relationships within the corporate community and with federal, state, and local government officials, including but not limited to those within two regions (Broward County and Miami Dade County). Internally, the role serves as an advisor to the President/CEO and the organizational point of contact for strategy and execution in partnerships and development.

The VP is also accountable for business strategy and planning for the for-profit Social Enterprise. This individual will work closely with the President/CEO on business expansion strategies, business development, and execution of project plans that bring these strategies to life.

In conjunction with the President/CEO, this position acts as a representative and ambassador to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships for the benefit of the organization.

Corporate and Government Relationships:

Takes the lead in preparing for meetings with existing and prospective partnerships, including conducting preparatory research, ensuring materials preparation, and briefing the President/CEO.

Accompanies the President/CEO on meetings with prospective partners to establish new partnerships and foster ongoing business development and growth.

Considers and analyzes the implications of proposed actions and decisions and their potential impact on internal and external stakeholders and organizational reputation.

Partners with and advises the President/CEO in government relations.

Leadership Oversight Responsibilities:

Leads all strategic partnership and business development elements of OIC of South Florida and its associated entities, providing executive leadership over multiple partnerships at any given time.

Leads and oversees the following functions: (1) grants proposal development and compliance management, (2) contractor management (including grant proposal writing, business planning, and grant evaluation), (3) employer and workforce partnerships, (4) data analysis, (5) social enterprise business strategy and planning, and (6) project management in close partnership with the VP of Programs and program staff.

Ensures grant compliance with all federal, state, and local funding sources and compliance with the requirements of private funding sources.

Strategy, Planning, and Execution:

Builds the business strategy, scope, project plan, and execution steps, including work orders for operationalizing strategic partnership plans.

Proactively partner with the VP of Programs to ensure the timely and effective execution of the strategic partnership plans.

Develops a strategy to identify government officials of federal, state, and local governments who are connected to appropriations that can align with and support the OIC-SFL and OIC-SI mission and vision.

Facilitates the development, maintenance, and monitoring of business development and partnership plans.
