Our products, services and solutions help bring innovative therapies to market and support the patients who depend on them.The role of the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is pivotal, embodying a specialized, field-oriented expertise in the realm of anti-arrhythmia treatments for self-administration outside of the emergency department or hospital setting for patients with acute episodes of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) and atrial fibrillation (AFib), as well as other episodic cardiovascular conditions.Adhering rigorously to regulatory and corporate directives, the MSL will foster scientific partnerships within the relevant scientific communities. This role entails engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare practitioners (HCPs) at local, regional, and national levels. The MSL is part of a regional therapeutic area MSL team within Field Based Medicine (FBM). The focus of this role is field-based scientific exchange (SE), leveraging scientific background, industry knowledge, and business acumen to function as a scientific resource to KOLs while gathering insights that inform Scientific Objectives (SOs) and strategic decision-making by Medicine.The MSL will have responsibility for select Congresses, including Congress planning, attending sessions, managing the medical information booth (MIB), KOL engagements, hosting debriefs, and providing an executive summary to the appropriate members of the leadership team. The MSL may participate in disease education activities, as well as provide internal and external scientific training.Function as the EVERSANA Medical Deployment primary point of contact in the field with reporting responsibilities to the Senior Director, Medical Excellence and Field-Based MedicineServe as preceptor to other MSLsSupport internal medical affairs initiatives as appropriateBe solidly versed in the clinical data such that the full range of innovative science, clinical, outcome, economic and value aspects of the company’s products can be appreciated by the external stakeholderConduct pre-launch KOL profiling efforts to enhance depth of product/disease/scientific knowledgeDevelop and track KOL engagement plans - identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with KOLs within assigned regionDevelop a strong understanding of territory-specific healthcare systems and clinical practices related to patient care, disease management, treatment protocols, and research interestsProactively conduct scientific exchange with KOLs to support the SOs and document scientific insights within appropriate system(s)Function as a scientific resource to KOLs and HCPs to answer specific questions on disease state topics and company compoundsProvide disease state education on topics related to SOs as appropriateCollaborate across all functions in a compliant mannerProvide additional scientific support for Medicine and Scientific Affairs activities which may include support for scientific congresses and medical informationAdhere to corporate SOPs and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory guidelines governing scientific interactions with physicians and healthcare professionalsWillingness to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals beyond the borders of a geographic territoryMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Advanced science / clinical degree (PharmD, M.D., DO, Ph.D.) with one or more (1+) years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience, orMasters level degree in health sciences (e.g., MS, MSN, MPH, MHA) with three or more (3+) years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience, orCombined BSc. with an MBA, or BSN with an MBA, and five or more (5+) years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experienceFour or more (4+) years of experience as a MSL with primary emphasis on field-based scientific exchange (cardiovascular experience preferred)Knowledge of regional specific healthcare systems and clinical practices related to patient care – preferredCommunication skills which display comfort, agility, and confidence in a variety of situationsLearns quickly and adapts rapidly in complex and/or stressful situationsChallenges the status quo by asking appropriate questions and offering alternative solutionsCreates a learning environment and is open to suggestions for improvementEmbraces the ideas of others, nurtures innovation, and manages innovation to realityAbility to interpret scientific data and communicate it to broad audiencesAbility to use field-based electronic or other communication tools for all aspects of the jobDemonstrate high ethical and professional standards with all business contactsEmbodies a can-do entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to both lead and support key company initiativesBuilds strong relationships with peers and cross-functionally with partners outside of team and/or organizationDemonstrates a positive, enthusiastic attitudeOUR CULTURAL BELIEFSPatient Minded - I act with the patient’s best interest in mind.Client Delight - I own every client experience and its impact on results.Take Action - I am empowered and hold myself accountable.Grow Talent - I own my development and invest in the development of others.Win Together - I passionately connect with anyone, anywhere, anytime to achieve results.Communication Matters - I speak up to create transparent, thoughtful and timely dialogue.Embrace Diversity - I create an environment of awareness and respect.EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees.
