QA Analyst

FirstPro is now accepting resumes for a QA Testing Analyst position based in Boston, MA. This position will focus on providing QA Testing support to the company's web products and projects. This is a contract position that must be worked onsite.Candidates must already be located in the Greater Boston Area to be considered. Candidates must have previous experience in the Insurance industry, and also have worked with HP ALM/Quality Center.ResponsibilitiesBased on project requirements and technical design, develop & execute software test casesPlan test schedules & strategies in accordance with project scope & delivery datesDocument test cases, results and defects utilizing MicroFocus (formerly HP) Quality Center/ALMCreate and manage test data, including data for use by automated scripts where applicableDocument and communicate project quality over the course of testing, including readiness for release using our standard test process and status reporting templateProvide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionalitySupport User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase - largely through test information sharing and test data creation for UAT team members using our automated processesRequirements3-5 years testing and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experienceExperience with Quality Center/ALM for requirements, test case and defect managementData testing experience including writing SQL and working with XML filesExposure to Property & Casualty Insurance a plusExcellent skills as a communicator and facilitator, both written and oralAbility to work independently and within a team to accomplish a common goalSelf-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skillsA process improvement' mind-set
