Position: Superintendent Assistant/Carpenter
Job Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Superintendent Assistant/Carpenter with a background in construction to join our team. This role involves everything from new construction and remodel framing to interior and exterior finishing, metal roofing, and some tile and hardwood installation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent Assistant:
Conduct final walk-throughs with customers and secure signed Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction.
Hold pre-construction meetings to set expectations and provide regular project updates to customers and subcontractors.
Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers, and ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and local codes.
Document project activities and maintain high quality standards through site inspections.
Evaluate and rate vendors and subcontractors, and coordinate inspections with local authorities.
Identify and address areas outside of the contracted scope of work.
As a Carpenter:
Collaborate on work orders, prints, and sketches to understand project requirements.
Estimate equipment, tool, and material needs for each job.
Build, dismantle, and repair structures including walls, roofs, and siding.
Operate necessary tools and prepare scaffolding as needed.
Perform cabinet and flooring installation (laminate, vinyl, carpet, tile).
Install windows, doors, door frames, and trim with precision.
Maintain tools and equipment for safety and optimal performance.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Capable of walking, standing, climbing, and working in tight or elevated spaces.
Comfortable with extreme conditions like heat and performing repetitive physical tasks.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
