Position Summary:Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Director for Research Development.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Facilitates NB strategic priorities as it pertains to leading the facilitation of mid-to-large scale multi-million dollar grants for the Chancellor-reporting Signature Initiatives (CSI), in the areas of Climate and Energy, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Life Sciences, and Behavioral Health.Researches and analyzes funding agencies and organizations to identify potential funding sources and analyzes funding mechanisms.Establishes and maintains working relationships with funding agencies, organizations, and institutions and facilitates discussions concerning research opportunities.Writes technical and non-technical sections for proposals and edits and analyzes proposal drafts with an eye to solicitation requirements and funding agency needs.Leads collaborations with faculty and staff to develop areas of potential research and develops successful proposals.Supports experiential learning initiatives as they pertain to broader impacts requirements for large-scale sponsored programs.Responsible for launching research ideation forums, speed networking events, grantsmanship workshops, information sessions, and seminars for the CSIs and New Brunswick School units.Hires, supervises, and manages the office team.Minimum Education and Experience:Master's degree, preferably in STEM or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.At least five (5) years of relevant research development experience.City:
