We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Executive Director, Housing and Residential Engagement (Administrator III). The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style characterized by ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.The Executive Director provides administrative oversight, visionary leadership, and manages all aspects of Housing and Residential Engagement to ensure that more than 2,200 student residents benefit from an exceptional living and learning experience; oversees approximately 33 full-time employees and a full staff of student employees; is responsible for a $30 million annual operating budget; develops and oversees operational and programmatic aspects of Housing and Residential Engagement including residence halls, safety, advocacy, leadership programming, facilities management, and community partnerships; sets department goals, coordinates assessment activities, and creates positive environments that enhance equity and support diverse students and employees.Diversity Statement: A Diversity Statement is required below, please address the following as a minimum:What diversity means to you.A description of your experiences with a diverse range of individuals.A description of how issues of diversity have impacted you personally or professionally.Essential Qualifications: A master's degree from an accredited college or university in higher education, student services, business management or a related field. Five years of progressive management experience in college or university administration including five years of experience supervising full-time staff. Excellent fiscal planning and budget management skills. Experience providing leadership in strategic planning, as well as project and policy development. Understanding of facilities operations. Ability to use assessment to facilitate organizational change. In-depth knowledge of theme housing communities, and experience in integrated academic residential living environments. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work with and lead a diverse group of employees and have an active commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information.Preferred Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of relevant policies, state and federal laws related to the oversight of student housing.
