Department Summary

Infrastructure Services provides flexible, reliable, and secure traditional and cloud infrastructure services (network services, platform services, data center operations and management, and unified communications) enabling connectivity, productivity, and security for UCLA. Infrastructure services strives to optimize performance increasing storage, elevating the network, and reducing downtime. Communications Infrastructure Management is responsible for the design and build of complete connectivity solutions and cable plants for voice, data, and video. Retrofit new infrastructure into existing facilities; cut over of production systems and decommissioning of legacy systems. Lead cabling and infrastructure installation, configuration, and maintenance.Position Summary

The Infrastructure Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, managing incoming traffic of service requests and assigning to Contractors, Project Managers, and engineering, and overseeing infrastructure projects executed by UCLA contractors. Key responsibilities for this individual include job order contracting, project progress tracking, and ServiceNow Service orders. This role will involve weekly vendor meetings, ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure job orders, contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.The Infrastructure Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues, managing resources, maintaining service quality, and fostering positive relationships with customers. The Infrastructure Project Coordinator will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring UCLA's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the university's academic mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students. This role will execute UCLA's vision while modeling UCLA's culture and values.

Three years experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure network cabling projects and services, information technology or network operations, or a related field. (Required)Demonstrated experience in monitoring and managing service level agreements (SLAs), including tracking performance metrics, adherence to response times, and resolution targets. (Required)Experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure projects and services, information technology or network operations. (Preferred)Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)Strong coordination and leadership skills to manage workload for field services technicians, project managers, and engineers effectively. Ability to assign tasks, coordinate schedules, and optimize resource allocation. (Required)Proven ability to maintain high customer satisfaction. (Required)Excellent vendor management and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and customers, understand their needs, and provide support and guidance in a professional manner. (Required)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues. (Required)Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Word, Excel, etc. (Required)Strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders. Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following fields: computer science, engineering, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience/training. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).The anticipated pay range for this position is $110,000-$125,410, annually; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.NOTE: This position REQUIRES that a RESUME and COVER LETTER be submitted in addition to the application.
