is looking for a

Quality Assurance Technician.

This position requires close working relationships with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Production, Materials & Process Engineering, and other Quality Assurance disciplines. Technical support activities include performing process capability studies, analyzing inspection data, implementing statistical process control plans, performing measurement capability studies, implementing inspection plans, and executing designed experiments.

You will report to the Product Assurance Lead and will have an on-site work schedule in

Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the Quality Assurance Technician, here's the basic qualifications you'll need to bring with you:

Associate Degree and 3 years technical experience in manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, Assembly & Test, or Quality Related Field.Must be familiar with fabrication processes, and end item functional test requirements to identify sources of variation in these processes.Familiar with military specifications strongly preferred.Proficient with computer programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will:

Inspection plans, quality plans, supports auditing functions, and/or evaluates supplier performance.Contributing to the planning, implementation, and administration of cost-effective Quality Programs, assuring that a system is in place which will meet contractual quality requirements.Inspection planning and statistical analysis work is focused on variation reduction to improve productivity, in process yield and efficiency of fabrication activities.Collecting and analyzing data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.Implement and integrate inspection plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing operations, assembly & test processes, and final inspection.Frequent personal contact with customers and teams require critical interpersonal skills, writing skills, tact, and persuasiveness.Implementing of statistical process control plans, writing of failure analysis reports, performing preliminary material review, providing customer interface, audit support, configuration control activities, traceability documentation, returned unit support, and contamination control activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Inspection/Quality Planning: Implement and monitor production inspection plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing, assembly & test, engineering procedures and first article inspection plans. This may include the performance of physical inspections, process capability studies, gauge capability studies, and/or implementation of statistical process control plans.Contract Compliance: Maintain compliance with contractual changes related to quality.Project Support: Perform routine technical tasks such as product/process improvement studies and the development of new systems and procedures.Training/Auditing: Assist in the administration of training certifications for site personnel and in the training and assessment of functional groups in the areas of quality requirements and other Quality related subjects.Technical Support: Apply basic problem-solving techniques to assist in the resolution of fabrication, and field related problems.

Salary Range:

Pay range for this opportunity is $30-$38 per hour. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
