We're at an exciting point in our transformation as we successfully execute on our strategy.As the Vice President, Product Management, Database Engines & Services you will lead the Product Management team that is building and driving our strategy for the Database Engines that we actively build and support. You will have a keen insight on market trends in the database market along with unique opportunities to differentiate Cloudera in the marketplace. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the base revenue stream for Cloudera which primarily comes from monetizing computers from our database engines. You will be a practical leader that understands the database market dynamics, can influence a strategy on how we can compete holistically as a platform, and can understand and prioritize what we need to do today to keep our customers successful while identifying opportunities for growth including but not limited to incorporating and monetizing new database engines as well.As the Vice President, Product Management, Database Engines & Services you will ...Drive the forward strategy and adoption of next-generation Data Services technology.Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to guide technical decisions on database development and strategy.Foster teamwork across product teams, driving collaboration and reducing redundant efforts.Work with downstream Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure seamless platform delivery of database engines.Navigate and lead in a matrixed environment, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.Champion customer needs and collaborate with other departments to address recurring issues and drive product improvements.Lead a high-performing team with responsibilities including hiring, compensation, performance management, budgets, and planning.Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive workplace that fosters growth, innovation, and teamwork.We're excited about you if you have:Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and/or equivalent experience.10+ years of progressive Product Management experience.5+ years of experience leading Product Management teams.5+ years of experience in Database and Data Warehousing.In-depth knowledge of technical support best practices, tools, and technologies.Superior people management and development with a focus on continual learning.Ability to form strong cross-functional relationships and influence others to drive to a common goal, including our customer base.Executive presence.
