Role Description
As SEO Specialist, you will play a key supporting role on the SEO team through data analysis and implementation of SEO strategies aimed at elevating the online presence of Homes.com. You will have a firm understanding of SEO fundamentals and possess a strong desire to learn and develop technical SEO expertise.
Responsibilities
Assist in analyzing the site performance to identify trends and opportunities.
Perform technical SEO audits to identify rank and indexing impacting issues.
Audit and maintain XML and HTML sitemaps.
Perform keyword research and monitor keyword performance.
Optimize website content such as meta data, images, and SEO content.
Assist in creating and maintaining SEO reports as required.
Work closely with product management, developers, marketing, geography, and our content team to assist in traffic generating initiatives across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
3+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be metrics driven, with the ability to create reports to track and analyze SEO performance.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as SEMRUSH, Conductor, BrightEdge, and Ahrefs.
Great at keyword research and discovering new opportunities to drive traffic.
Able to keep ahead of the latest search industry trends and algorithm changes.
Possess general understanding of HTML, CSS, and UX best practices.
Understand the components of Core Web Vitals, and their effect on SEO.
Understand schema.org and how it impacts SEO.
Capable of working with content management systems and drafting basic SEO text.
Understand what is needed to track activity and create reports & charts to visualize & analyze the performance of SEO updates.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
Some form of product management, project management, software development and/or analytics experience a plus.
Background in the real estate industry or related industry SEO experience with large, consumer-facing national websites.
Experience with AI tools and integrating AI generated content onto SEO landing pages.
