As a

News Producer , you will be responsible for the creation of a daily newscast. This role may also work in support of other newscasts or our website by researching stories, writing copy and editing video for both broadcast and digital.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for overall production and content of newscasts on any platformWrite news scripts, promos, teases, headlines and topicals and edit with non-linear softwareAssign stories to newscast story producers, specifying the angle, video location, etcConceptualize set graphics and blocking with APC operators and anchorsExecute live shots and communicate with anchors during live newscastsRespond to breaking news with accuracy and urgencyStay well-informed of daily news events and knowledgeable of the San Diego news marketContribute story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions and editorial meetingsUnderstand NBC 7’s and Telemundo 20’s newscast mission and station prioritiesResearch and gather information on assigned stories.Write text articles, create and publish video clips and still photos for our website.Execute all publishing workflows for video, images and text including publishing to social media platformsPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications
