We are looking for a

Senior Color Manager

to bring creativity and expertise to our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our color strategies align with brand vision, market trends, and product development goals. It will be instrumental in the color development and production process, coordinating with design, product development, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:Color Process Management:

Establish and enforce procedures to maintain high standards of color quality and consistency across all brand categories.

Oversee the color development process from concept to final production, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Color Standard Operating Procedure Manual and training guides.

Oversee administrative responsibilities related to color operating systems and equipment, including managing contract renewals and scheduled maintenance.

Evolve the company’s color processes by incorporating existing and new technology platforms and systems.

Utilize technology platforms to automate color review activities and improve operational efficiencies.

Color Coordination & Quality Assurance:

Act as the primary liaison for color coordination with external parties, including mills, suppliers, and third-party color providers.

Ensure timely distribution of color standards to suppliers and mill partners.

Review and approve/reject lab dips and bulk fabric submissions to ensure conformance with established company standards.

Communicate feedback on lab dips and bulk fabric colors promptly to various parties.

Participate in seasonal line reviews and support cross-functional teams by providing technical color expertise related to dyeing, finishing, and performance.

Technical & Analytical Expertise:

Apply advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for existing color-related challenges.

Maintain and update the PLM color library by inputting new colors and ensuring timely upload of seasonal color palettes.

Maintain relationships with nominated fabric mill partners, addressing color-related topics and issues.

Lead and report pre-season color feasibility.

Lead and coordinate troubleshooting technical limitations on various substrates and color finishes with mills, suppliers, and lab technicians.

Reporting & Documentation:

Create and present seasonal reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for color, including lab dip/bulk fabric approval ratings, in-store color failures, process efficiencies, and timing for key activities.

Establish key color milestones and integrate deadlines into the Seasonal Development Calendar.

Assist in the creation of a Self-Certification of Color for mills.

Training & Development:

Train cross-functional team members on color processes, standards, and color theory as needed.

Schedule, prepare for, attend, and/or lead supplier and mill color meetings as required.

Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience in color management or a similar role within fashion, textiles, or consumer goods.

Expertise in color theory, color matching, color/print calibration and quality control processes.

Experience with spectrophotometer operation/color management software and technology platforms.

Strong understanding of color trends, market dynamics, and technical color issues.

Proficient knowledge of yarn spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, polymers, and finishing processes.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.

High color perception required (color vision). Testing required for qualification.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PLM systems.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $96,600 - $146,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
