Most Holy Redeemer Parish in Evergreen Park is looking to hire a part-time Maintenance Director. The Maintenance Director oversees and performs maintenance work for our church and school.Some of the Maintenance Director's Job Responsibilities are:Supervises maintenance workers and contractors.Performs building and furnishing repairs, as needed.Performs maintenance and janitorial work, as needed.Sets the shift schedule and assignments.Develops maintenance policies and procedures.Orders tools, supplies, and equipment.Responds to maintenance requests.Snow plows property, as needed.Leads safety inspections at worksites.Evaluates condition of properties and equipment to determine necessary maintenance work.Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions.Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.This is a part-time position with normal work hours being approximately 25 hours per week.Some work outside of the normal work hours will also be required for snow removal, parish and/or school events and work that cannot be completed during the school day.Requirements:
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications and Skills:Knowledge of boilers and air conditioners.Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.Ability to manage maintenance workers with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Education and Experience Requirements:A high school diploma or equivalent is required.Must finish OSHA 30-hour training within the first three months of work.Some experience with basic plumbing, electrical and boiler maintenance.Special Directions:Internal Candidates (existing employees) – Please complete the subject field of your email with the following: “Internal Candidate – Job Title – Full name”External Candidates - Please complete the subject field of your email with the following: “Job Title – Full name”
