They provide AEC services to the Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability. This career-growth minded opportunity offers exciting projects and visibility with leading-edge technology and innovation as well as competitive salaries and benefits.Being in the field will eventually be 100% of the candidate's duties, however, as the company is ramping up on projects, when the candidate is not traveling to sites, they will assist the production design team from either the office or in a hybrid capacity via home office.As a Project Architect, you will travel to customer sites supporting data center construction projects as you will be the Company's onsite eyes and ears at the project site for the design team. You will assist with the interpretation of design requirements/design docs from the client and translate the requirements to the design team. You will communicate with the offsite design team and the onsite construction team partners with change orders, new requirements, assist with construction administration, respond to RFI's, RFP's, etc. You will oversee the implementation of design.As a Production Architect, you will be responsible for data center design planning, design development, documentation, and coordinating with all project team members. You will maintain the quality of the work product within the established project schedule for large complex data center projects. Additionally, you will lead the cross-functional design disciplines in coordination with our MEP design engineering team and project managers.Responsibilities:Support Data Center Construction with any design upgrades at the siteRepresent the company in project meetings as neededProvide construction administration servicesWork with Management to respond, submit, and track RFI's, RFP's, and Change ordersReview Submittals for conformance with drawings and specificationsProduce meeting minutes when attending meetingsWork with and coordinate with vendor partners both onsite and offsite: General Contractors (GC's), Owners, and Owner's RepsWork with Project Managers, Designers, and Principals in the conceptual development of project documentsWilling to work on aggressive deadlines when neededDemonstrated experience with providing input with design planning to the development of construction drawings of data center facilitiesFocus on progressing technical design drawing packages when neededFocus on the architectural layout of the entire building and infrastructure including power, cooling, ventilation, redundancy, and security when not on the roadHave knowledge of all aspects from schematic design through project close-out so you can review and manipulate drawings, especially when onsite at the data center projectAdvance drawings when given reference documents and/or detailed design criteriaFollow designs in adherence to all practice standardsSupport the design team and construction partners and communicate with all the trades and stakeholders involved in the projectReview designs and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments for data center facility design projectsEstablish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of company policies; put these in clear concise work statements for the fieldCreate Conceptual Designs as needed gathered from meetings with the clientQualifications:Registered Architect (RA)7-17+ years of experience as a Project Architect (this could vary)Critical Facilities / Data Center projects a Huge Plus (will not consider if work is 100% residential)Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or DesignExperience being an Onsite Architect at a Critical Facilities Construction SiteProficient in the use of REVIT (a must) / Advanced Revit skills and BIM a huge Plus3D/BIM modeling and CAD computer modeling and rendering software a plusPossess a technical proficiency in the production of drawingsAbility to visit client facilities throughout the USAbility to travel to support project tasksActive involvement in the AIA is a plusWork and communicate with internal/external customers and clients effectively is a mustAbility to successfully work independently/remotely/hybrid when not traveling to customer's data center construction siteSelf-starter, self-motivated, and should prioritize wellPrevious experience in the Military / Military Veterans a huge plus!
