Want to make a difference for communities in the heart of Texas and across the state?We've got an opportunity for you here in our College Station Water Design Center (WDC).As part of Garver's growing College Station WDC team, you'll lead a team responsible for process design in support of water and wastewater treatment projects company-wide. You'll evaluate, model, and design a wide variety of major process technologies for water and wastewater treatment projects. You'll be engaged in facility and equipment layouts, design calculations, coordinating with equipment vendors and regulatory agencies, coordinating support disciplines and regional offices, and performing quality reviews. You'll travel occasionally for business development purposes and when a project requires a site assessment as well as support during construction.What you'll do:

Design water and wastewater treatment processesLead process modeling and develop design criteria using analysis of water and wastewater process modeling dataLead water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementationLead hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater treatment plantsLead conceptual level designs for water and wastewater treatment systemsLead detailed designs, including contract documents (plans and specifications)Coordinate with other support discipline activities, regional Garver offices, and regulatory and funding agenciesSupport regional teams with treatment related business development activitiesDevelop scope, schedule, level of effort, and fees for projectsPlan and monitor budgetsEnsure quality program compliance and delivery of work products that adhere to Garver standardizationManage and mentor teamsWhat you'll bring:

Master's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or related engineering discipline from an ABET accredited programProfessional Engineer Licensure (PE)10 or more years of direct design experience with municipal water and wastewater facilitiesTwo or more years of experience leading project teamsExperience with process modeling software such as Hydromatis GPS-X, Dynamita Sumo, and EnviroSim BioWinExperience overseeing process designs, including detailed plans and specifications for major projectsUnderstanding of water and wastewater treatment plant systems in a facility-wide environmentExperience performing process equipment evaluation, sizing, and cost estimatingExperience with hydraulic modeling softwareBonus points if you bring these, too:

Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) in several states, including TX, OK, NM, AZ, CO15 years or more of experience with municipal water and wastewater process related designFive or more years of experience leading project teamsRelationships with municipal clients in Garver's footprintA record of active participation in professional organizations such as AWWA, WEF, WRFBenefits & Perks
