Main Purpose of Job:

This Facilities Planning Administrator position is responsible for maintaining and developing the infrastructure needs of Spring Grove Hospital Center, a Maryland Department of Health psychiatric hospital. The position is responsible for needs assessments and coordination with the Department of General Services and the Department of Health (MDH) Office of Facilities Management and Development (OFMD) for facilities planning to meet current and future needs of Spring Grove patients and the increasing state needs for the future.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifying candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of health or human services administrative or professional experience, including two (2) years at a supervisory or managerial level. Qualifying candidates must also possess at least two (2) years experience in program management, project planning and/or project design.

A Master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience. A Doctorate will substitute for two years of general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the Bachelor's degree.

The desired candidate should possess:

strong written and oral communication skills

working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Google Suite

working knowledge of current building codes including IBC, NFPA, FGI Guidelines for Design of Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities, Code of Maryland Regulations, and RS Means cost estimating resources

SELECTION PROCESS:

This is a Management Service position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A Resume must accompany your application.
