The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Sr. Cartographic Standards Development Specialist to work at a customer location in St. Louis, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in cartographic principles and geospatial production experience by reviewing Foreign Partner production of Joint Operation Graphic (JOG) products and Tactical Pilotage Charts (TPC) to ensure capable and ready source to IC and DOD partners through the bi-lateral programs and agreements in the International Program.

Primary Responsibilities
  • This work requires staff who can develop Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), business processes, general guidelines, etc. and the standardization of practices and tradecraft across the International Partnership Manager's Area of Engagement.
  • The candidate shall use an understanding of geography, cartographic finishing principles, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to review and provide reports to government managers on international co-producers produced maps and charts at various scales. These maps and charts may consist of the JOG chart and the TPC.
  • The candidate shall also participate in technical exchanges with international partners, and contract personnel located at their site and virtually around the globe. Enabling activities in support of map/chart production (i.e. writing SOPs and how to guides, training coworkers, etc.).

Basic Qualifications
  • Typically requires a BA degree and 8-12 years of prior experience or Master's with 6-10 YOE.
  • TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain Polygraph.
  • Knowledge of Feature Data Specifications or Product Specifications (DPS) to include, the Topographic Data Store (TDS) and Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP) schemas, Data product Specifications (DPS), and/or Standard Information Guidance (SIG) for GEOINT product lines which include Joint Operation Graphic (JOG) and Tactical Pilotage Chart (TPC).
  • Knowledge of digital data formats including vector data, shapefile, and spatial database, GML, and XML.
  • Tradecraft equities include cartography education and experience of at least 5 years, specifically in producing and reviewing JOG and TPC Charts.
  • At least 5 years' experience performing QA reviews of JOG and TPC charts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving in a supervisory or Technical Lead work role.
  • Experience training coworkers or others in cartographic techniques and best practices.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
