Senior Director, Utilities Capability Lead - Slalom Launch (Global Team)

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to help craft and lead a new innovation venture, called Slalom Launch, reporting into the office of the CEO. This role, Sr. Director, Utilities Capability Lead, will be a key leader in driving new Utilities Launch Products and partnerships for the Launch division of Slalom.

What You'll Do
  • Support the vision setting and support leading the direction of the Slalom Launch - Utilities Team at Slalom; establish targets and support the development of the Launch Product strategy.
  • Lead and support the identification, productization, and commercialization of potential Launch products, by working with both existing and new clients, within the Utilities Industry.
  • Identify current and potential Slalom clients globally, where value could be accelerated by leveraging a Slalom Launch Product.
  • Partner with Slalom account leaders to target and deliver Slalom Launch products at their clients in their market.
  • Lead the development of Go-To-Market materials and client stories to build credibility for Slalom in the industry.
  • Advise clients on business and technology transformations working with senior business and functional leaders to understand key business drivers, define strategic needs, and develop future business capabilities leveraging industry best practices.
  • While participating in our industry community, bring offerings, success stories and expertise.
  • Ensure the interconnections across Slalom while delivering on end-to-end product commercialization and delivery.
  • Contribute to business development and solutioning conversations across multiple Slalom markets & clients.

  • 5+ years of experience working in the utilities industry in the areas of retail, metering, distribution, transmission and generation. Utilities industry experience is required for this role..
  • Expert and C Level relevant experience in multiple functional areas within the Utilities Industry.
  • 10+ years' experience working in the consulting services industry supporting utilities customers.
  • Experience regularly attending industry conferences and shared learnings with other Industry Practitioners and clients.
  • Experience presenting/speaking at an industry conference, host an industry-focused expert panel, and/or be published in an industry publication.
  • Be responsible for achieving ambitious 5-year financial targets across our diverse markets. This entails a keen focus on identifying industry trends and growth areas, allowing you to craft insightful thought leadership and innovative solutions.
  • Pinpoint strategic accounts within the industry and collaborate across markets to formulate effective account strategies. Actively seek out target/greenfield accounts, taking the lead in negotiating and driving new Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
  • Play a crucial role in supporting procurement and pricing strategies tailored to the unique dynamics of the industry.
  • Cultivate marketing and alliance partnerships to enhance our market presence.
  • Commit to industry learning and development. By staying abreast of emerging trends and fostering alliances, you will contribute to the continuous growth and success of our organization.

Slalom Launch™ is a new division of Slalom that was born from a breakthrough discovery while working with a New Zealand based electrical utility on their Product Strategy. At its core, Slalom Launch is a team within Slalom that is focused on helping our clients who have made significant investments in technology innovation for their own organization and are looking to commercialize that innovation. By working with those clients, and connecting them with other existing Slalom clients, we accelerate the value we bring to all of our clients by leveraging best of breed thinking, products and innovation from around the world.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position at the Senior Director level the base salary pay range is $189,000 to $329,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
