The Business Continuity Management Senior Analyst will have a critical and visible role providing oversight of SECU's Business Line Business Continuity Management practices. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with multiple levels of employees, providing guidance on both Business Continuity & Incident Risk Management activities along with providing application support for the Operational Risk Management Archer modules.

As part of the Operational Risk Management framework, the Business Continuity Management program provides strategic direction for Business Continuity & Incident Risk Management planning, testing, and execution across SECU. The program objective is to support business efforts to restore operations following any incidents that may result in a partial or complete disruption. The successful candidate will need to support the overarching operational risk efforts to ensure that critical services and capabilities remain operational, appropriate communications to stakeholders are conducted, and financial and reputation loss is minimized. Supporting the Operational Risk Management Archer modules includes providing access assistance and Archer application user support for data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts.

This position reports to the SVP - Business Continuity & Incident Risk Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support SECU Business Continuity Program efforts for data collection, analysis, education, testing, and reporting. The program provides guidance and consultation for the BCP Plan owners and coordinators, Business Process Managers, and Incident response teams.
  • Provide Incident Risk Management support for Business Line Incident Response. The program provides Incident Response teams with support for process execution, coordination & communications with the business lines, and escalation to the Critical Incident Response Team.
  • Provide support for the Operational Risk Management Archer modules that include Incident Response, Business Continuity Management, Issues Management, and RCSA. Work with the Operational Risk Management team to provide application assistance to facilitate access, program functionality, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Keep current with the latest Business Continuity & Incident Response trends and best practices


Internal Relationships
  • The Business Continuity Management Senior Analyst will interact across all SECU departments to ensure effective planning and response efforts are executed accurately. For Business Continuity, the role engages with SECU department Business Continuity Plan Owners, Plan Coordinators, and Business Process Managers, providing guidance on data collection and analysis. For Incident Risk Management, the role supports Incident Response teams with process execution, coordination & communications with the business lines, and escalation to the Critical Incident Response Team.


Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with Operational Risk Management program execution. Bachelor's degree or relevant experience within a risk management disciple in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with providing Enterprise-level consulting and program execution support, interfacing at all business levels, preferably at a financial services organization.
  • Experience providing end user application support, preferably at a financial services organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take accountability for decision making that aligns with business objectives.
  • Evidence of advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, that guides Business Line execution of Business Continuity Management program objectives.


Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Incident Response program experience supporting business operations at a financial services organization.
  • Operational Risk Management program execution experience working at across organization levels from department planning to senior leadership status communications.
  • Experience working with the Archer Platform, preferably the risk management modules.
  • Credit union risk management experience.
  • Business Continuity Industry Certification (ABCP, CBCP, CBCI)
