Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, Employee Benefits, the role is responsible for the implementation and execution of operational initiatives to support organic growth and revenue retention in the small- to large- group market. This roll will assist in managing and negotiating appropriate vendor service agreement to define performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, and expectations adequately. This role will manage the Employee Benefits service team in the assigned region, to ensure optimization of customer experience, operational efficiencies, change management and transformation, including overseeing all training and development of the service teams. The role will collaborate with and work closely with the operations leadership team. This role will influence and promote a positive culture and work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute all Employee Benefits operations in assigned region to ensure the best client experience possible.
  • Maintain key client account management, as assigned.
  • Responsible for managing the service team and team leads in assigned region.
  • Design and implement training programs and individual development, based on business goals and needs.
  • Implement coaching sessions/mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement standard operating practices to create efficiencies through use of technology and processes.
  • Communicate consistently with Director of Operations and Practice Leader, Employee Benefits, as necessary.
  • Execute operational initiatives that support organic growth and retention goals through collaboration with members of the leadership team.
  • Lead and implementing key carrier strategic initiatives to achieve placement and revenue goals working with the EB Operations Lead.
  • Work closely with EB Operations Lead to evaluate and negotiate preferred vendor contracts.
  • Quarterly review of the AM/AE book of businesses to ensure proper staffing to align with excellent customer service experience.
  • To achieve EBITDA/expense goals, work closely with the leader on annual budgets.
  • Liaison between producers and account management teams.
  • Monthly department meetings to influence and promote a positive culture and work environment.
  • Monthly team leader meetings as a group to review workflows, procedures, staffing and any performance issues.
  • Communicate regionals goals around premium optimization, total client, and ensure that team leads are continually communicating Region's operational goals.
  • Collaboration with human resources around personnel management and employee relations.

Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Superior skills in operational leadership, employee development, and employee engagement
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data and reporting.
  • Ability to establish credibility and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders through ethics, integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect.
  • Ability to make appropriate and timely key business decisions.
  • Effective change management, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Proven record of accomplishment of leading a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficient computer skills with agency management software systems
  • Travel up to 50%


Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of technical employee benefits experience
  • Minimum 2 years successfully managing a team.
  • Life/Health Agent License required.
