Job Title: Director of Financial Modeling (FP&A)
Location: Grapevine, TX (Hybrid)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Director of Financial Modeling with a strong background in auto/consumer loan finance and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining comprehensive cash flow models for our auto loan portfolio, ensuring accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and reporting. This role will lead the FP&A team and work with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making by providing clear insights into portfolio performance and future trends.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed cash flow models for auto loan portfolios, incorporating assumptions related to origination volumes, prepayments, defaults, recoveries, and interest rate scenarios.
  • Forecasting & Scenario Analysis: Prepare regular financial forecasts and scenario analyses to understand potential portfolio performance under various economic conditions and business strategies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze key performance metrics of the auto loan portfolio, including delinquency rates, charge-offs, and collections, and provide insightful reports to capital markets and executive teams.
  • Ownership of Corporate Forecast Model: Integrate portfolio cash flow models into broader financial forecasts, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives and own entire model.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the portfolio (e.g., interest rate changes, credit risk) and recommend mitigation strategies based on cash flow analysis.
  • Sensitivity & Stress Testing: Perform stress testing to measure the impact of changes in external and internal factors on cash flows, helping the company prepare for adverse economic scenarios.
  • Technology & Tools: Utilize advanced financial modeling tools and software to build, refine, and automate cash flow models. Familiarity with auto loan servicing platforms is a plus.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear, concise manner, ensuring alignment with overall corporate goals.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of cash flow modeling and reporting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset and/or corporate cash flow modeling, preferably with exposure to auto loans or consumer lending.
  • Strong background in Corporate FP&A, with experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling software and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of loan performance metrics, credit risk, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • Experience in the auto finance industry or consumer lending sector.
  • Familiarity with securitization and structured finance transactions.
