Core ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate regional and corporate goalsReviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount ratesDirects channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals; assigns sales territory and customer accounts to sales representativesDirects staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programAttends meetings to present reporting on sales and gross margin dollars to plan, including potential sales, areas of success, personnel updates, and any corrective actions needed. Sales reporting that shows sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.Supervisory Responsibilities

- Manages multiple outside sales representatives. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel Requirements

- Expected to spend quality time weekly in each market of assigned region. This may require overnight travel in some instances.

Core Skills and Qualifications

Three to five years related experience and training; minimum of three years senior management experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to lead and direct the activities and performance of sales team to achieve corporate goals while fostering quality customer and vendor relationships and growthExcellent working knowledge of order processing systems, contact management systems, and Microsoft products Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to problem solve. lead by example, and coach a team to achieve excellent customer service with customers and vendorsConstruction industry knowledge is preferred
