Why This Role is Important to UsReporting to Sr.Manager of Quality Assurance, IT QA lead is responsible for leading the testing efforts for new software applications, system integrations, and upgrades across the organization's technology platforms. This includes planning, executing, and reporting on all testing activities to ensure high-quality software releases that meet business requirements and compliance standards. This role includes overseeing a team of 5-10 offshore resourcesSupervision Exercised:No, this position does not have direct reports. What You'll Be DoingDevelop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements, user stories, and technical specificationsLead and coordinate testing activities, working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless collaboration and successful outcomesDesign and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverageManage the test environment setup, data preparation, and test data managementExecute functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testingIdentify, document, and track software defects and issues through the resolution processAnalyze test results, prepare detailed test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholdersEnsure testing activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including HIPAA and CMS guidelinesCollaborate with development teams to provide feedback and recommendations for improving software quality and testabilityOversee a team of 5-10 offshore resources, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure continuous learning and improvement within the team.Working Conditions:Standard office conditionsWhat We're Looking ForRequired Education (must have):Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Desired Education (nice to have):Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experienceRequired Experience (must have):8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory roleExperience in the healthcare or insurance industryWorking knowledge and application of the Agile development, SDLC, and QA methodologies with a demonstrable knowledge of QA methodologies (Smoke, Functional, Integration, Regression, Load testing).Leading a testing team of cross functional client and contracted resources across geographical locationsExperience with Automated Testing applications and previously have worked with or have exposure to performance and automation testing.Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies (e.g., AWS, Docker)Desired Experience (nice to have):Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CTAL)Required Knowledge, Skills Abilities (must have):Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter, LoadRunner)Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby)Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsKnowledge of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines)Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, qTest)Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDesired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Language (nice to have):Jira SoftwareConfluenceSelenium open-source automation frameworkCucumber test automationSmartBear Zephyr Microsoft 365 Copilot
