About the Role:Pachama is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to be a key partner to our CEO in shaping the company strategy and execution to advance our mission and build enduring enterprise value. The CFO will shape and drive our financial strategy as we embark on our next phase of growth.As CFO, you’ll leverage your financial expertise and experience with high-growth tech startups to guide our company roadmap, execute our capital markets strategy, manage our capital allocation, and consolidate our business model, all while ensuring excellent governance, audibility, and reporting practice.Location:

These insights enable leading companies to find the world’s best projects and track their impact over time while also helping land stewards earn an income protecting nature with tools to develop carbon projects and secure funds.What You Bring To The Role:Experience leading finance at venture-backed, post-series B technology startups of at least 10 years, encompassing FP&A, Strategic Finance, Capital Markets, Legal, HR, etc.Experience in financial institutions such as investment banks, venture or private equity where insight into capital markets was gained.Experience with investor relations and communicating with a board of directors.Demonstrated success in raising various forms of capital, including equity, debt, project finance, tax credits, and grants.Clear strategic thinking and experience designing and refining strong business models.Excellent leadership and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated success hiring, recruiting and managing high-performing teams.Experience scaling companies with effective standard procedures, while fostering a positive culture for innovation.Experience managing international operations and multiple subsidiaries.Experience on carbon markets, climate tech or sustainability a plus.Passion for climate action and nature conservation.What You Will Be Responsible For:Partner with the CEO to shape the company’s strategy from a financial point of view, including capital formation and allocation, short and long-term financial planning, analysis and execution.Leading fundraising efforts, managing investor relations, and handling capital markets strategies, including fund formation, project finance and strategic partnerships with capital managers.Oversee strategic financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and general cash flow management and reporting.Build and manage teams to execute on all key areas under management.Conduct financial analysis, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.Work with executives across the organization, helping them develop strategic plans and provide analytical support on the execution of key projects.Lead financial reporting, treasury, tax, and audit functions across multiple entities.Ensure robust financial controls and policies are in place to support scalability and operational excellence and provide guidance on HR and Legal functions.We are open to discussing compensation based on your experience and expertise.
