IntroductionWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fiscal Account Clerk Manager.GRADE15LOCATION OF POSITION6 N. Liberty Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201Main Purpose of JobIn this role, you will assist the Budget and Administration unit of MHEC by performing a range of financial tasks, including processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, recording fiscal transactions, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.POSITION DUTIESOversee daily activities, ensure timely processing of invoices, and approve payments according to company policies.Verify invoices against purchase orders and receipts, and resolve discrepancies with vendors.Handle payments (checks, electronic transfers, ACH), ensure compliance with schedules and procedures, and reconcile transactions.Post journal entries in FMIS, maintain internal controls to prevent fraud, and monitor their effectiveness.Work with other departments to improve processes, train staff on best practices, and ensure proper documentation.Stay informed on accounting standards and regulations, and ensure adherence to laws and company policies.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience: One year of experience supervising the review, verification, recording, adjusting and balancing of financial transactions.Notes:Additional experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required high school education.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDesired Qualifications:The preferred candidate will possess current knowledge and three years of A/P experience, involving processing invoices in FMIS.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and accounting experience.Applicants should also have three years of experience performing reconciliations, working with cash receipts and FMIS.Intermediate experience using Excel.SELECTION PROCESSPlease make sure that you provide sufficient information on your application to show that you meet the qualifications for this recruitment.
