The Impact You'll Have:
Alliant Engineering is looking to add a
Senior Traffic Engineer
to its Traffic Engineering Group. This position presents a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual to work in a dynamic and challenging environment in our downtown Minneapolis office. The successful candidate we desire brings expertise in traffic final design, will manage or task lead projects, lead junior staff, and will help play a key role in marketing Alliant to clients.
Responsibilities:
Independent application of standard civil and traffic engineering principles and techniques
Prepare concept plans and construction documents for traffic final design projects, including traffic signals, roadway lighting, roadway signing, pavement markings and maintenance of traffic
Prepare project specifications
Develop construction cost estimates in support of all preliminary and final design efforts through various construction delivery methods
Administer quality management plans and perform thorough, detailed reviews of project deliverables
Write proposals, scopes of work and prepare project budgets
Manage and mentor junior traffic engineering staff
Market Alliant to private and public clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of experience
PE License
Experience with local, state aid and federally funded project delivery
Strong working knowledge of design software such as MicroStation, SignCAD, and AGi32 or other photometric analysis software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization, and multi-tasking skills
Strategic quality management practices and skills
Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
Familiarity with industry practices, agency preferences, and traffic engineering principles
