Position Summary:

The Director of Finance plays a key role in developing, monitoring, and executing overall corporate strategy with the Managing Director and leaders of the company with emphasis on working capital, equity and debt, gross profit, OPEX, and ultimately overall profitability of the Company. The Director of Finance partners closely with other departments; is viewed as a trusted business advisor; supports with key financial information and operational analytics; and drives a culture of accountability in managing the business and voicing well-substantiated dissenting opinions. The Director of Finance will be a member of the senior executive team within the company participating in strategic planning and tactical execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Profit and Loss management: Proactively manage cash flows in a leveraged environment; manage financial capital; communicate capital requirements/implications of business decisions to CEO, Board of Directors, and all interested parties; conduct meaningful proactive analyses to improve key business decisions focusing on the management of working capital; grow equity value – increase gross profit and reduce debt; ensure efficient capital expenditures and minimize taxes.

Define the Company’s financial strategy; provide useful financial insights for better decision making about formulating and executing Company strategy; establish internal control processes required to manage and grow the business; anticipate and correct problems in advance; drive the annual budgetary process and the monthly reporting.

Effectively lead the Finance team by hiring and retaining top-grade talent; develop and coach existing team members and build bench strength for long-term sustainable succession plans.

Drive effective internal and external communication interactions; effectively manage sponsor, bank, board of director, and financial advisor relationships.

Primary point of contact for communication with parent company Controlling function for all financial communications on planning, CAPEX, debt, cash flow, and profitability performance.

Lead the annual external audit engagement and the periodic internal audit review.

Compliance:

Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit as well as state and local property and sales tax audits, when applicable.

Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Position Qualifications:

BS degree in Accounting or Finance required, CMA or CPA a plus.

10+ years’ experience in roles with financial accountability and progressive leadership responsibility.

Computer proficiency: Windows environment, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; ability to become proficient in internal company systems such as SAP/WS1, CIS Accounting and others.

Leadership: ability to hire top players; continuously develop employees and coach for performance; demonstrate efficiency of execution; flexible, adaptable. Build a team based on trust, delegation of workload, accountability, and opportunity for advancement.

Personal: dependable; organization and planning skills; timely and effective decision making based on sound judgment and accurate analyses. Excited about working in partnership across all functions of the Division.
