POSITION SUMMARY:

The position of Corporate Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of various financial reports and special analysis. Analyzes reports on historical and future trends to determine appropriate paths for financial and operational development.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The Corporate Financial Analyst reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Accounting. This role involves teamwork with the Corporate Accounting group as well as interaction with the executives of the B. F. Saul Company and its affiliates.

Corporate Financial Analyst, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of the private companies’ multi-year business plan forecasts.

Preparation of the quarterly finance committee book.

Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and semi-annual return on investment reports.

Preparation of various cash position reports.

Preparation of various compensation and benefits reports.

Preparation of various “ad hoc” reports related to all aspects of the companies.

Provide support for the cash management function.

Provide support for process enhancements of financial systems projects.

Corporate Financial Analyst, JOB REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS/ABILITIES):

Experience with financial modeling and budgeting working in a corporate real estate environment.

Knowledge of real estate accounting concepts.

A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an ability to work in a highly computerized environment. Advanced skills in Excel spreadsheet development and accounting software are required. Knowledge of Crystal report writing, preferably Business Objects.

High levels of integrity, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality are of utmost importance.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Sharp analytical and investigative skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Corporate Financial Analyst, SELECTION CRITERIA:

EXPERIENCE:

2 – 4 years’ experience in a corporate real estate environment.

EDUCATION:

A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
