Job Description
This role will examine the current state infrastructure and operational landscape within the Division and help manage any operational transfer of products in the current financial year. The Project Director will manage key stakeholder relationships and lead project teams to deliver the defined benefits anticipated.
Duties & Responsibilities
Run project steering committees, responding appropriately to all questions and queries through a thorough understanding of stakeholder requirements and how these translate to business priorities.
Draft, manage, submit and present all project initiation documentation, from initial definition of scope through to project charters, ensuring appropriate approvals.
Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization’s resources are used responsibly.
Network and collaborate with relevant site management to gain buy in and sponsorship of project, working in partnership with the BU leadership team.
Develop metrics to track defined benefits of project investment.
Gain buy in and sign off on the benefits and the project metrics.
Establish the required tracking and reporting to quantify benefits after project delivery.
Develop detailed project plans.
Manage expectations of divisional stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the project – from inception to delivery.
Work with GM and site managers to align resource allocation to project workstreams.
Track and report timelines, budgets, scope, risk and quality during the entire life of the project from inception to delivery – and manage issues and risks as they occur.
Re-evaluate project priorities as the business environment evolves, recommending adjustments to the roadmap as new priorities emerge.
There will be travel involved in this role.

Technical Knowledge and Skills
Education Requirements
Industry recognised project management certification e.g. PRINCE2 or PMP desirable.
PMP or equivalent certification, or progress toward certification.
Experience required
Technical project leadership in a technology or advanced engineering or manufacturing environment.
Managing people and large scale transformational projects with operational complexity.
Proven track record in change management methodologies in a global operating context.
Track record of planning and delivering >£5m+ budget projects.
Working with multiple third party vendors across different countries, territories and cultures.
Real estate and / or organisational design change projects might be advantageous.
Formal senior management level presentation and communication experience.
