A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation, particularly with a focus on government contracts practice, or equivalent experience within a Federal agency. The role involves participating in various complex commercial matters, regulatory issues, business-tort litigation, and corporate governance matters.Duties:Participate in developing strategies for complex commercial matters, regulatory questions (e.g., FAR, DFARs, SBA), business-tort litigation, internal investigations, corporate governance, and employment matters.Draft briefs, memoranda, correspondence, examination outlines, and other legal documents.Conduct due diligence reviews of government contracts and award documents for corporate transactions.Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis.Conduct witness interviews, client meetings, and negotiations.Analyze evidence and develop case strategies accordingly.Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.Provide direct support to partners and senior lawyers on ongoing legal matters.Support a government contracts practice, including researching and advising on Federal Acquisition Regulations, litigation support, and contract/grant document analysis.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation within a law firm, focusing on government contracts practice or equivalent experience at a Federal agency.Licensed to practice law in Washington, DC, or eligible to become licensed.Strong academic credentials and intellectual curiosity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.Proactive attitude with a desire for professional growth.Team player with solid judgment and client service focus.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is highly desired.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Washington, DC Bar, or eligibility for admission by waiver or examination.Skills:Commercial and business acumen.Ability to handle multiple projects and remain calm under pressure.Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills.Initiative, resourcefulness, and proactive problem-solving abilities.Benefits:
