Under general direction, the Senior Buyer/Planner at Super Micro Computer, Inc. plans and coordinates the purchasing functions of the technological division; coordinate the work of the buyers, purchases high quality supplies, materials, and equipment in accordance with formal bidding procedures; prepare specifications and contracts for services/supplies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

Work with PM & Engineering design team on the new product development (NPI) supportPlan and monitor inventory levels based on customer requirements and company target levels; ensures adequate planning and forecasting to maintain supply chain stabilityExperience in dealing with vendors in AsiaObtain and negotiate competitive quotations and analyze the vendor quotations based upon product specificationsLong lead time & unique components managementPrepare inventory and aging reports as neededAble to multi-task and fit in a very fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quicklyExtremely detail-oriented and self-drivenQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, material management, manufacturing or similar discipline preferredMinimum of 8 years materials management, procurement and supply chain experience preferredStrong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple priorities at onceAbility to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources; develop/recommend/implement solutionsProven ability to resolve problems independently and take appropriate action in a timely mannerProficient in ERP applications and Microsoft Office programs such as SAP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointIC, PCBA related components, optical transceivers, NIC related technical background is a plusSalary Range:

$99,000 - $125,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.EEO Statement:
