Clinical Social Worker - Lung TransplantTransplant - Post Heart and LungFull TimeJob SummaryThe MSW (CSW II) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CSW III) provides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, therapeutic interventions, consultation, education, community linkages and supportive services for pre/post Lung Transplant patients and caregivers. The CSW II/III coordinates resources and services in response to patients' psychosocial needs throughout the in-patient and out-patient continuum. The CSW III has advance knowledge and skills in clinical social work and is distinguished from the CSW II by leadership activities in the department, including participation in advanced program planning, provision of educational programs, clinical supervision, and consultation to the clinical team.The CSW II/III provides age-appropriate assessments, interpretation of data, and delivery of interventions for the Lung Transplant program and demonstrates the ability to work with any patient regardless of race, gender, religious affiliation, cultural beliefs, lifestyle, disease process or treatment plan.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $38.85 - $67.05 (Hourly Rate).Required QualificationsMasters degree from a CSWE accredited school of Social Work.Current California State License of Clinical Social Work in good standing (CSW III Only).Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Demonstrates resourcefulness, effective written and oral communication, diplomacy, and organizational and analytic skills.Self-directed, assertive and creative in problem solving, systems planning and patient care management in a high-volume work environment.Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.Basic telephone, and computer skills including the use of the internet.This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a healthcare setting, including out-patient, in-patient and/or transplantation.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve - a promise we share with the professionals who make up our team.
