UX Researcher

to help support their business needs. This role is

hybrid in Los Angeles, CA.Responsibilities

Interact directly with game/app-development teams, turning their needs and goals into research plans which will usually be usability tests/playtests, but sometimes surveys, and result in a better understanding of consumer needs and the user journey.For playtests, manage them wholly: writing the plan, working with recruiting to find the right participants, moderating the study, and synthesizing and presenting the findings.For surveys, manage them from end to end: writing them, programming them in internal tools or Qualtrics, pulling potential respondents in SQL (or purchasing them from a vendor), analyzing the data in R or SPSS (support for this will be available), and writing the report.Qualifications

Bachelors is required, (Masters/PhD desired) preferably in Psychology or Sociology, or any degree plus user research experience (5+ years) will do too.4+ years of related experience required.Experience moderating user research sessions and usability testing.Experience turning Qualitative and Quantitative Data into actionable insights.Working with a diverse set of stakeholders.Distinctive Qualifications

Video Games User Research experience.Survey writing expertise.Experience working in entertainment, media, or music publishing industries.Understanding of research agency landscape, especially agencies specializing in the entertainment/media research space.App development user research.VR (Virtual Reality) user research experience.Passion for video games and/or VR is needed.Experience with analysis and data modeling in R or SPSS.Perks
