181073Job Description:Summary and Purpose of Position:The Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Associate Vice President, Technology Services, reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President, Administrative Services. The CIO and Associate Vice President directs the College's technology planning, implementation, and maintenance to support the overall mission, strategic plan, and goals. The CIO and Associate Vice President is responsible for the management of all functions related to Technology Services.Primary Functions:Reports directly to CFO and Vice President, Administrative Services;Exercises delegated authority from the CFO and Vice President;Provides leadership and management for Technology Services and Print Services;Directs or performs essential operations related to the strategic and tactical coordination, implementation and maintenance of technology for all departments and locations of MCC, including:administrative computing services,communication and network services,data security,data integrity,customer support,web services,systems and integration, anddesktop computing;Oversight of information technology policies, procedures, standards, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations;Exercises budget authority and administrative approvals;Provides and coordinates development opportunities for staff;Works collaboratively with the campus community - faculty, staff, and students - to create a culture of student engagement and success;Develops and sustains productive and collaborative relationships across divisions and with other college constituents, as well as across SUNY;Leads, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates any direct reports, departments and programs;Performs other duties as assigned.Secondary Functions:Serves as a liaison to College committees and initiatives as appropriate.Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.Contributes to, supports, and maintains an equitable, inclusive, and collaborative College environment.Maintains technological competencies utilized by the College.Commits to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college.Commits to professional growth, including seeking ongoing training in diversity, equity and inclusion.Requirements:Required Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution;Minimum of five years progressive administrative experience leading Information Technology organizations, including personnel management;Evidence of effective interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate partnerships and to work with diverse groups of faculty, students, and staff;Documented ability to integrate data into decision making to promote effective practice and policy;Expertise in information security frameworks and standards;Experience with and enthusiasm for managing and implementing progressive change;Experience overseeing multifaceted systems to deliver optimum service;Creative ability and experience in addressing technological, organizational and budget challenges;Experience in complex project management.Preferred Qualifications:Documented experience within a diverse higher education institution;Previous experience as a Chief Information Officer;Effective interpersonal skills;Experienced user of common higher education management and support systems;Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently.Salary:

Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity and college budget. This position has a range of $120,000 to $130,000.MCC offers a Flexible Work Policy for benefit eligible employees. Types of flexible work arrangements include flextime/staggered shifts, remote work/telecommuting and compressed work schedule.
