Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.Job DescriptionGather, analyze, and document user requirements, business processes, and problems to automate or improve existing systems; elicit and document business needs for new systems.Analyze program policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems and system functional areas.Assist in requirements gathering.Identify opportunities for improving business processes through automation and assist in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems.Assist with reviewing and preparing complex project management deliverables such as project charters, project plans, test plans, and risk management plans.Consult on the analysis of an application, troubleshoot system problems, and recommend solutions.Provide quality assurance consultation to projects, assignments, or special initiatives.Develop and review test cases; process change requests; and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.Maintain assigned business relationships with vendors, seek best value for new and renewing technologies, and review and approve monthly and annual invoices.Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to complete projects and service requests; define, assign, and evaluate their work.Develop training curricula and conduct formal training sessions covering assigned systems modules.Review complex project deliverables such as charters, design documentation, test plans, and risk assessment plans; provide comments and suggestions to document owners.Provide complex quality assurance consultation to, or oversight of, projects, assignments, or special initiatives.Work experience with Agile methodology and user story analysis.Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data, and as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering, understanding technology, and any project management experience with PMP (Preferred).
