As a Solutions Engineer at Formal, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our innovative product and our customers' needs. Your primary focus will be on helping customers successfully deploy our product and ensuring the closure of deals. You'll work closely with the sales team, product team, and customers to drive adoption and satisfaction.Responsibilities

Lead the deployment and integration of Formal's solutions for new and existing customersDevelop and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as their technical point of contactTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for customersWork closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the sales process, including demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical discussionsCollaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutionsCreate and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase Formal's capabilitiesAssist in developing technical documentation, best practices guides, and training materials for customersGather and communicate customer feedback to inform product improvements and new feature developmentStay up-to-date with industry trends, competing products, and Formal's product roadmapContribute to the continuous improvement of our deployment processes and toolsQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3+ years of experience in a software engineering, solutions engineering, technical sales, or similar customer-facing technical roleStrong understanding of data security concepts, APIs, and database technologiesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issuesProficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go)Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesProven track record of successfully closing deals and driving customer adoption of technical productsExperience with sales methodologies and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in or with early-stage startups in the security or data management spaceFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR)Knowledge of data governance and data quality management practicesProgramming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or GoExperience with data visualization tools and techniquesPersonal Qualities
