Rummel Construction, Inc. is a heavy civil general contractor specializing in mass excavation and grading. We have been providing earth-moving services to the Southwest, United States since 1996. Unlike other heavy civil contractors, we diversify in a broad range of markets including mining, landfills, golf courses, residential, CMAR/JOC, wind and energy, recreation, flood control, and transportation. With over 400 pieces of equipment and upwards of 75+ jobs on our construction schedule, we aren't like the rest. We are seeking 2025 Summer Internship Candidates for our Construction Management Internship Program. This is a paid internship that is ideal for college students that have a passion for construction. Building on the success of past and present graduates and interns, Rummel Construction, Inc. views this as a key component to its long-term growth strategy.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As a Field Intern, you will be given immediate challenges, as you work directly in the field with our crews and supervision. You will receive mentoring from key members of the management team. You will learn grade-checking, which will give you the understanding of our cut-and-fill projects, equipment, and departments. Depending on how far along you are in your college courses, you will shadow a Project Engineer/Project Manager, and assist with daily duties, such as quantity tracking, scheduling, and reviewing submittals, purchase orders, and RFI's. It is also possible for you to receive cross-functional assignments available in maintenance, estimating, GPS, and our water distribution departments, contingent on the interest of the individual and business needs.QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing college degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
Reliable transportation is required for this internship. Traveling to different projects throughout the Valley is expected.
Do you have excellent communication skills? Are you willing to get your hands dirty and take initiative? If so, you may be perfect for this summer internship position!
