Are you ready to shape the future of campus dining in higher education? To advance our goal of being an elite dining program, we are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Executive Director of Institutional Dining Strategy across a tri-campus community (University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College, St Mary's College). In this forward-thinking and innovative role, you will be at the forefront of the evolution of our dining experience, leading groundbreaking projects that set elevated standards for excellence and innovation.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, University Operations, Events, and Safety and working in tandem with our Executive Director, Campus Dining, the Executive Director of Institutional Dining Strategy will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive dining strategy that aligns with Notre Dame's goals and values. Your leadership will be instrumental in bringing to life some of the most exciting projects on our campus, including the co-creation of a state-of-the-art, athletic-specific dining facility designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of our athletes and foster a culture of peak performance. Additionally, collaborating with the Executive Director, Campus Dining for the renovation and grand reopening of a historic dining hall, blending tradition with modernity to create a first-class experience and vibrant gathering space for students, faculty, and staff.

With a keen focus on student and customer satisfaction and a growth mindset, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation in our dining services. You will anticipate future trends in campus dining, embracing new technologies and sustainable practices to enhance the overall dining experience. Your strategic vision will ensure that our dining services not only meet but exceed the evolving needs and expectations of our campus community.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking campus dining strategy that supports the institution's mission, vision, and goals.

Project Management: Co-Lead the design and execution of key projects, including partnering with athletics to create a cutting-edge athletic dining facility and the renovation of a historic dining hall.

Customer Gratification: Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring high levels of satisfaction among all campus dining guests.

Innovation and Growth: Stay ahead of industry trends, implementing innovative solutions that enhance the dining experience and promote sustainability.

Collaboration: Work closely with campus stakeholders to align dining services with the broader goals of the institution and create a cohesive dining strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

7+ years of proven experience in strategic leadership within the dining or hospitality industry.

Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects from concept to completion.

Strong focus on customer success, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

A visionary mindset with a passion for shaping the future of dining in higher education.
