Tech Impact is a nonprofit that has been delivering services since 2003 to thousands of national and international nonprofit organizations and has helped over 1,000 students become successful IT professionals.We are seeking a Workforce Program Director in the Nashville, TN, area who will play a key role in successfully developing and delivering our Workforce Development Programs in the region. Tech Impact operates proven IT training programs designed to help young adults 18 to 26 years old launch their careers through ITWorks. The programs consist of intensive classroom training followed by a paid internship and job placement assistance. Students also receive career guidance, mentoring, and valuable life skills to help them succeed in their new careers.Job Responsibilities

Summary Of PositionThis role reports to the Director of National Program Operations. My primary responsibilities are overseeing the regional workforce program team in Nashville, which provides instruction and wraparound services to Tech Impact’s Workforce Development programs. Duties include staff supervision, program development and expansion, and internal and external communication.This position requires a presence in Nashville, TN, and other local or regional travel as needed to support our programs and initiatives.This is a Full-time / Permanent / Exempt / At Will Position.The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000.Experience is preferred.Familiarity with Nashville Technology Workforce Needs, Funding Environment, and/or Nonprofit environment is highly preferred.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversight of tactical delivery of the regional workforce program team, including managing a team of 2-4 staff who directly oversee the following processes for Tech Impact’s programs: applicant recruitment and screening, technical instruction, student support and professional development, volunteer engagement and coordination, and employer engagement for internships and jobs.Along with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Programs Officer, and Director of National Program Operations and the Development Team, cultivate strong partnerships in the region through positive relationships with funders, employers, volunteers, community partners, nonprofit organizations, secondary schools, local Department of Labor and Workforce Investment Boards, collaboratives, and other post-secondary training providers, to drive awareness and build enrollment and job placement pipelines.In partnership with the Development Team, identify potential funding opportunities and provide in-person support for funder cultivation.Gain familiarity with funding needs and secured grants (including complex government grants) to ensure the team follows the program policies and requirements meets outcomes, and tracks and reports accurate data.Offer support and guidance to program staff, ensure the team is competent and engaged and that they are delivering quality programs, following processes and procedures, and achieving program outcomes. Responsible for responding to escalation of related issues requiring management direction.Ensure team compliance with all requirements set by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.Work closely with various teams to provide guidance and communication to meet outcomes targets, and ensure students are supported by the team during and program.Identify areas for program growth and improvement.Represent Tech Impact at speaking engagements, community events, and conferences.Ensure that staff are adequately trained and prepared to perform their duties and have opportunities for professional development.Assist with recruiting and screening of internal candidates and onboarding new hires as needed.Assist in coordinating special events and meetings.Travel to other Tech Impact Offices and Conferences may be required.Qualifications

2-3+ years of workforce development program delivery and/or management experience is required.2-3+ years of demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate teams is required. Must possess the ability to work with individual staff members and the team to resolve issues if they arise.2-3+ years of nonprofit experience is preferred.Familiarity with Nashville Technology Workforce Needs, Funding Environment, and/or Nonprofit environment is highly preferred.Additional Information
