Objective

The Human Resource Director is a key strategic position that provides a high level of business partnership for the Texas region. Within this role, the Human Resource Director spearheads the people strategy to align with company goals and priorities. The Director is responsible for all key areas within the HR function; as well as ensuring that the organizational culture fosters a People First approach through teamwork, employee engagement, transparency, inclusiveness, accountability, and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Advisor to Leadership team to provide effective solutions for all people-related processes and initiatives to support and achieve organizational goals and objectives which propel business forward.

Provides strategic guidance to management on organizational design and development, talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, company culture, and policy development.

Develops and deploys strategic planning objectives to build dynamic organizational plans that deliver significant and sustainable growth.

Maintains knowledge of industry trends and responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.

Champions retention strategies, talent, and succession planning (LDR Process), leadership coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.

Drives changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed with continuous focus on process improvement.

Coaches, mentors, and resolves complex employee relations issues.

Conducts internal investigations as required for employee-related issues.

Accountable for cost envelope development and all pay-related initiatives including salary planning, market surveys, and pay analysis.

Responsible for deploying HQ MIP and other variable compensation plans including sales commission plans.

Partners with TA team on competency requirements, integrated people solution strategies, and appropriate workforce analysis to maintain required staffing and hire the best talent.

Works directly with senior managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters by providing coaching, education, training, and development.

Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.

Anticipates talent shortfalls and impact on the organization, identifies issues and opportunities in closing organization performance gaps and/or deploy effective tools and programs to achieve strategic vision and goals.

Responsible for coordination with other centers of excellence (including Benefits, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition) to ensure that all clients achieve a high level of service.

Participates on committees and specialist projects.

Travels to support appropriate departments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources.

A minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience is required; in addition to previous human resources experience supporting multiple locations/regions.

Strong background in performance management, employee relations, compensation, training/development, employment law, and change management.

Proven successful track record in positive resolution of employee relations issues.

Experience deploying variable compensation programs and sales commission plans.

Previous experience in staffing and recruiting for multiple locations required.

Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload while managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting deadlines.

Proven ability to gain trust and credibility with clients at all levels of the organization.

Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken).

Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suites.
