4200 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008Brief Description of DutiesThe University of the District of Columbia, College of Arts and Sciences, Division of Education, Health and Social Work invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month, administrative staff appointment. The University services approximately 5,000 students across its two-year baccalaureate, masters, and professional programs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaching graduate and undergraduate courses face to face, with opportunities for hybrid or online instruction.Serving on division, program, college, and/or university committees.Maintaining an active research agenda and working collaboratively with program faculty and area partners.Performing service, administrative, and accreditation-related tasks as necessary.Fostering an environment of professionalism and collaboration.Demonstrating scholarly engagement, including research, grant writing, publishing and presenting.Participating in recruitment activities; experience with CAEP or NCATE is strongly preferred.Minimum Job RequirementsA master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Counseling, Student Services or an academic field related to job responsibilities.A minimum of one year’s experience advising students or related academic functions within higher education or workforce development.Experience gathering, analyzing, and reporting program data.Information to ApplicantCollective Bargaining Unit (Union):
