Job SummaryResponsible for supporting the Sourcing Team for the finished goods product lines. Assist the Sourcing team with further developing and executing a sourcing strategy. Appraise and improve current sourcing activities by analyzing our current supply partnerships and offer new supply chain opportunities. Perform cross functional tasks with our Product Management and Product Development teams to develop new products and optimize our costs.Job DescriptionMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop an allocation strategy that maximizes supply chain efficiencies and savings. This individual will be responsible for reporting that data on a regular basis to senior management.Work with the Product Development team to analyze costs on new projects.Regular involvement with price negotiations with current vendors. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a price history record for each supplier along with data related to cost factors for our products (i.e. cotton, polyester, freight, currency, etc). Will be essential to internal discussions regarding vendor price evaluations.Assist the Inventory Management team by sourcing short term spot purchases in the local market to relieve any inventory related supply chain issues.Be responsible for the process to manage the creation of onboarding new suppliers in our system as needed.Enhance transportation opportunities by working with operations. Reduce cubes and freight costs at the time of design.Maintain/update pricing for all finished goods SKUs once pricing contracts are finalized with our supply partners.Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure any pricing discrepancies with suppliers are handled promptly. Perform similar functions with the Operations/warehouse team to address vendor shipping discrepancies.Regularly meet with Product Management team members to determine which products in the marketplace are not priced effectively. Relay information to suppliers and work to reduce costs on those SKUs either through price negotiations or developing new product options.Organize and lead regular meetings (virtual and in person) with various cross functional teams (Operations, Transportation, Marketing, Product Development, Upper Management, etc).MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor’s degree in Business or related field.Work Experience3-5 years of sourcing related experience is required.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesIntermediate to Advanced level in Excel. Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills.PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTSEducationDegree in Supply Chain or Operations Management. Textile background.Work ExperienceExperience working in Textiles.Certification / LicensureCPSM certification.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesProficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and NQUIRE.BenefitsMedline is committed to offering competitive benefits and a variety of choices to best meet the needs of you and your family.
