ACET is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Sr. Proposal Writer

to join our Business Development team. The Proposal Writer will play a crucial role in the development of competitive and compliant proposals for government contracts. This individual will lead and manage the creation of proposals in response to government solicitations.

This role requires expertise in writing, editing, and producing government bids that are fully compliant with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific guidelines, and other legal requirements. The Senior Proposal Writer will work closely with capture managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business development teammates to ensure proposals meet client requirements and showcase the company’s strengths and value propositions.

Responsibilities :

Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end development of government contract proposals, ensuring compliance with all RFP requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria.Research: Conduct research to gather information relevant to the proposal, including client needs, industry trends, and competitor analysis.Content Creation: Write and edit proposal content, including executive summaries, technical sections, management plans, and other proposal components.Coordination: Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, and other stakeholders to gather information and input for proposals.Compliance: Ensure proposals adhere to all government regulations, compliance requirements, and formatting guidelines.Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and editing of proposal content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.Proposal Submission: Manage the submission process, including assembling proposal documents and desktop publishing, coordinating with subcontractors (if applicable), and meeting submission deadlines.Proposal Repository: Maintain a repository of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and past proposal submissions for future reference.Post-Proposal Activities: Support post-proposal activities, such as debriefings, feedback analysis, and lessons learned sessions to improve the proposal development process.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Business) or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 8 years’ proposal/technical writing experience, with a focus on federal government contractsDemonstrated success in writing and winning government proposalsStrong understanding of federal government procurement processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detailHighly proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint for proposal managementStrong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple proposals concurrently under tight deadlinesFamiliarity with Shipley proposal methodologies, APMP certification, or other industry-recognized certifications is preferredThis position may require periodic travel to attend client meetings, proposal kick-offs, or industry events.
